  • Don't save payment methods on devices your child uses unsupervised
  • Log out of your account on shared devices when you're not using them
  • Enable two-factor authentication (Account Settings > Security) so your child can't log in without your verification code
  • Use a password your child doesn't know

Monitor Purchases:

  • Review your order history periodically for any purchases you didn't authorize
  • Check your email for order confirmations you don't recognize
  • Review your bank or credit card statements for unexpected charges
  • Set up purchase notifications with your bank so you're alerted to any transactions

What If Your Child Made an Unauthorized Purchase?

If your child placed an order without your permission, contact us immediately:

If the Order Hasn't Shipped Yet:

  • Contact us as soon as you discover the unauthorized order
  • Provide the order number
  • We'll cancel the order and process a full refund
  • The sooner you contact us, the better the chance of catching it before it ships

If the Order Has Already Shipped:

  • Contact us with the order number
  • We'll help you arrange a return once the package arrives
  • A refund will be processed after the return is received
  • Keep the item in its original packaging for easier return

Preventing Unauthorized Purchases

The most effective ways to prevent children from making purchases on your account:

Remove Saved Payment Methods: Go to Account Settings and delete any saved credit cards or payment methods. This means payment information must be manually entered for every purchase, which children are unlikely to have.

Enable Two-Factor Authentication: With 2FA enabled (Account Settings > Security), logging into your account requires a verification code sent to your phone or email. Even if your child knows your password, they can't get past this step without your device.

Don't Save Passwords in the Browser: If your browser auto-fills your Inspire Uplift login, anyone using that device can access your account. Disable auto-fill for our website on shared devices.

Use Separate Devices: If possible, keep your shopping on a personal device that your children don't use regularly.

Consider Prepaid Cards: If you want to allow your teenager to shop with a set budget, consider giving them a prepaid card with a specific amount loaded on it. Once the balance is used, no further purchases can be made.

Reporting Inappropriate Content

While our sellers must follow content standards in their product listings, with 20+ million products on our marketplace, we rely on our community to help identify any content that shouldn't be there.

If you notice any product listing with inappropriate content:

  • Report it immediately to contact@inspireuplift.com
  • Include the product link and a description of what's concerning
  • Our team will investigate and take appropriate action
  • We take all reports seriously and act on them promptly
