What's two-factor authentication?
Extra security for your account.
Two-factor authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your Inspire Uplift account. Even if someone gets your password, they can't access your account without the second verification step — keeping your personal information, order history, and saved payment methods safe.
How Two-Factor Authentication Works
Normally, logging into your account requires just one thing — your password. With 2FA enabled, logging in requires two things:
- Something you know — Your password
- Something you have — A verification code sent to your phone or email
This means even if your password is stolen, leaked, or guessed, your account remains secure because the attacker doesn't have access to your verification code.
Why You Should Enable 2FA
Protects Against Password Theft: Data breaches happen at companies every day. If you've ever reused a password across multiple websites, your Inspire Uplift account could be at risk if another site is breached. 2FA protects you even if your password is compromised.
Prevents Unauthorized Purchases: With saved payment methods and shipping addresses on your account, unauthorized access could mean someone places orders with your money. 2FA stops this.
Secures Your Personal Information: Your account contains your name, addresses, order history, and communication with sellers. 2FA keeps all of this private.
Peace of Mind: Once enabled, you know that only you can access your account — even if you accidentally clicked a phishing link or used a weak password.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What if I lose access to my phone or email used for 2FA? A: Contact our support team immediately. We'll verify your identity through other means (order history, billing information, etc.) and help you regain access to your account and reset your 2FA settings.
Q: Will 2FA slow down my login? A: Only by a few seconds. Entering a verification code takes about 10 seconds — a tiny investment for significantly better security.
Q: Can I disable 2FA if I change my mind? A: Yes. Go to Account Settings > Security and you can disable 2FA at any time. However, we strongly recommend keeping it enabled for your protection.
Q: Do I need 2FA for the mobile app too? A: 2FA settings apply across all devices — website, mobile browser, and the Inspire Uplift app. Once enabled, it protects your account everywhere.
Q: Is 2FA required? A: 2FA is optional but strongly recommended. It's one of the most effective things you can do to protect any online account — not just Inspire Uplift.
Other Ways to Keep Your Account Secure
2FA is the single most effective security measure, but it works best alongside these other practices:
- Use a strong, unique password — At least 8 characters with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols
- Don't reuse passwords — Your Inspire Uplift password should be different from every other account
- Never share your login credentials — Not with friends, family, or anyone claiming to be from our support team
- Log out on shared devices — Always log out when using public or shared computers
- Don't save passwords on public devices — Only save login info on your personal devices
- Watch for phishing — We'll never ask for your password via email. If you receive a suspicious email, report it to contact@inspireuplift.com
- Check your account regularly — Review your orders and account details periodically for anything you don't recognize
- Keep your email secure — Your email is the key to password resets, so protect it with a strong password and 2FA as well
What We Do to Protect You
Even without 2FA, your account is protected by our security infrastructure:
- Encrypted password storage — We can't see your password, and neither can anyone else
- SSL/TLS encryption on every page
- PCI-DSS certified payment processing partners
- Automatic session timeouts for inactivity
- Login activity monitoring for suspicious access
- 24/7 security monitoring systems
But 2FA is the single best thing YOU can do to protect yourself. We handle the infrastructure — 2FA handles the human element.
