I'm getting spam after ordering
Dealing with unwanted emails.
We take your privacy seriously and never sell your email address to third parties. If you're receiving unwanted emails after placing an order on Inspire Uplift, here's how to figure out what's happening and how to fix it.
First: Is It Actually From Us?
Before assuming the emails are spam, let's determine whether they're legitimate Inspire Uplift communications that you can control, or actual spam from unrelated sources.
Emails That ARE From Inspire Uplift
Order-Related Emails (Required): These are sent automatically for every order and cannot be turned off:
- Order confirmations from contact@inspireuplift.com
- Shipping notifications with tracking information
- Delivery confirmations
- Refund and cancellation confirmations
These aren't spam — they're essential communications about your purchase. You'll receive these for every order regardless of your email preferences.
Marketing Emails (Your Choice): These are optional and you can unsubscribe at any time:
- Promotional offers and sale announcements
- New product launches and collections
- Flash sale notifications
- Special member deals and promotions
If you're receiving too many marketing emails from us:
- Click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any promotional email — removal is processed immediately
- Or update your preferences in your account settings
- Allow up to 48 hours for all scheduled emails to stop
- You'll still receive order-related emails (those can't be turned off)
How to Identify Our Legitimate Emails: All real emails from Inspire Uplift come from these addresses:
- contact@inspireuplift.com (customer support and marketing)
- support@inspireuplift.com (support responses)
- no-reply@inspireuplift.com (automated order confirmations — do not reply to this address)
If an email claims to be from Inspire Uplift but comes from a different domain, it's not from us.
Emails That Are NOT From Us
If you're receiving spam from unfamiliar senders with unfamiliar email addresses, this is almost certainly not related to your Inspire Uplift order. Here's why:
We Never Share Your Email:
- Your email address is never sold to third parties
- We don't share your information with data brokers
- We don't provide your email to advertisers
- Our sellers cannot export or misuse customer email lists
Spam Increases Naturally Over Time: Most people notice spam increasing gradually regardless of where they shop. This happens because:
- Your email address gets exposed through data breaches at various companies over the years
- Bots harvest email addresses from public sources
- Signing up for various online services gradually expands your digital footprint
- It's coincidental timing — not caused by your Inspire Uplift purchase
How to Check If Your Email Was Compromised Elsewhere
If you've noticed a significant increase in spam, your email address may have been exposed in a data breach at another company:
Check HaveIBeenPwned: Visit haveibeenpwned.com and enter your email address. This free service checks whether your email has appeared in any known data breaches. If it has, the spam you're receiving likely originates from that breach, not from shopping on Inspire Uplift.
What to Do If Your Email Was Breached:
- Change your password on any breached accounts
- Enable two-factor authentication on important accounts
- Consider using unique passwords for every website
- Use your email provider's spam filters aggressively
- Consider creating a dedicated email for online shopping
How to Reduce Spam
Regardless of where the spam is coming from, here are practical steps to clean up your inbox:
Use Your Email Provider's Spam Tools:
- Gmail: Click the three dots on a spam email and select "Report spam" or "Block sender"
- Outlook: Right-click the email and select "Block" or "Report as junk"
- Yahoo: Select the email and click "Spam" in the toolbar
- Apple Mail: Select the email and click "Junk" in the toolbar
The more you report spam, the better your email provider gets at filtering it.
Create Filters: Most email providers let you create rules that automatically sort or delete emails from specific senders or with specific keywords.
Unsubscribe Carefully:
- Only click "Unsubscribe" on emails from companies you recognize
- Never click unsubscribe links in suspicious or unknown emails — this can confirm to spammers that your email is active and lead to more spam
- For our emails, unsubscribe links are always safe to use
Consider a Dedicated Shopping Email: Creating a separate email address just for online shopping keeps your primary inbox cleaner and limits exposure if any retailer's data is ever breached.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: I started getting spam right after ordering. Isn't that suspicious? A: We understand the timing feels suspicious, but correlation isn't causation. Spam volume fluctuates naturally, and people tend to notice it more when they've recently made an online purchase. We never share your email — check haveibeenpwned.com to see if your email was exposed elsewhere.
Q: Can sellers on your platform see my email address? A: Sellers can only see your email if you message them directly through our platform. They cannot export or mass-use customer email addresses. Sellers who misuse customer information violate our policies and face removal from the platform.
Q: I unsubscribed but I'm still getting emails from you. A: Allow up to 48 hours for unsubscribe to fully process. If you're still receiving promotional emails after 48 hours, you may have multiple accounts with different email addresses — each needs to be unsubscribed separately. Also check whether the emails you're receiving are order-related (confirmations, shipping updates) — those are required and can't be unsubscribed from.
Q: Can I stop ALL emails from Inspire Uplift, including order confirmations? A: Order-related emails (confirmations, shipping updates, delivery notifications) cannot be turned off while you have active orders — they're essential communications about your purchase. Marketing and promotional emails can be stopped anytime by clicking "Unsubscribe."
Q: How do I report a seller who I think is misusing my information? A: Contact us immediately at contact@inspireuplift.com with the seller's name and details of what happened. We investigate all privacy complaints and take action against sellers who violate our policies.
