What currency are prices displayed in?
Understanding pricing and currency on our site.
All prices on Inspire Uplift are displayed in US Dollars (USD). Every product listing, shipping cost, tax calculation, and order total across our entire marketplace is shown in USD. This applies to all customers worldwide — whether you're shopping from Miami or Melbourne.
Why USD
As a US-based company headquartered in Miami, Florida, we operate in USD. Using a single currency across our global marketplace provides consistent pricing for all shoppers regardless of location, a clear standard for our 55,000+ sellers who set prices in one currency, and simplified transactions that reduce confusion and errors.
How International Customers Pay
If you're outside the US or your payment method is in a different currency, the process is seamless:
You shop and check out in USD. The prices you see on the site are what's charged.
Your bank converts to your local currency. When the USD charge is processed, your bank or credit card company applies their exchange rate and converts the amount to your local currency automatically. The converted amount appears on your bank statement.
You don't need to do anything. There's no currency selection, no manual conversion, and no extra steps. You shop in USD and your bank handles the rest.
Exchange Rates and Fees
Exchange rates are set by your bank, not by us. Your bank uses their current rate at the time the transaction is processed (which may be 1-2 days after you place the order). Rates fluctuate daily, so the exact amount in your local currency may vary slightly from what you estimated.
Foreign transaction fees may apply. Some banks charge 1-3% on international purchases made in a different currency. This fee is charged by your bank — we don't control it or profit from it.
How to avoid or minimize fees: Use a credit card with no foreign transaction fees — many travel cards and premium cards waive this charge. Check with your card issuer before shopping if you're unsure. Use PayPal, which offers its own conversion rate that may differ from your bank's — sometimes more favorable, sometimes less. Compare both options. Consider digital banks like Revolut or Wise that offer competitive exchange rates and low or no foreign transaction fees.
Estimating Costs in Your Currency
Before purchasing, you can estimate the cost in your local currency:
Google: Search "50 USD to EUR" (or your currency) for an instant conversion.
Currency converter apps: XE, Revolut, and similar apps show real-time exchange rates.
PayPal: If you select PayPal at checkout, PayPal may show the converted amount in your local currency before you confirm, letting you see the approximate cost upfront.
Keep in mind that converter rates are approximate — your bank's rate may be slightly different. But these tools give you a solid ballpark within 1-2%.
Refunds in Local Currency
Refunds are processed in USD. Your bank then converts the refund back to your local currency at their current rate. Because exchange rates fluctuate, the refunded amount in your local currency may be slightly more or less than what you originally paid. This is determined entirely by exchange rate changes between the purchase and refund dates — not by us.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will you ever offer prices in other currencies? A: We're considering multi-currency display as we continue expanding internationally. For now, all prices are in USD. Customer feedback helps us prioritize features — if this matters to you, let us know.
Q: Can I choose to be charged in my local currency? A: Charges are processed in USD. If you pay with PayPal, you may have the option to let PayPal convert to your local currency at their rate instead of your bank's rate. Compare both to see which is more favorable.
Q: The amount on my bank statement doesn't match the checkout total. Why? A: The checkout total is in USD. Your bank statement shows the converted amount in your local currency plus any foreign transaction fee your bank charges. The difference is due to exchange rate conversion and bank fees, not an error in your charge.
Q: Does Perks membership cost the same for international customers? A: Perks is $4.97 USD per month globally. Your bank converts this to your local currency each billing date. The converted amount may vary slightly month to month due to exchange rate fluctuations.
Q: Are shipping costs also in USD? A: Yes — everything is in USD, including shipping costs, tax, and the order total. Perks members get free shipping regardless, making USD pricing simpler since there's no shipping cost to convert.
