No. What you see at checkout is what you pay. We believe in transparent pricing — no surprise charges, no hidden costs, no fees added after you complete your order.

What's Included in Your Checkout Total

When you proceed to checkout, your order total is calculated clearly and includes everything:

Product Price: The cost of the item(s) you selected. Some products show "from $X" pricing, meaning different sizes, colors, or options may have different prices. The price updates when you select your specific variant.

Shipping: Calculated based on your delivery address, package weight, and shipping method. The exact shipping cost is shown before you pay.

Sales Tax: Applied based on your shipping address and local tax requirements. Tax is calculated automatically and displayed at checkout before you complete your order.

That's it. Product + Shipping + Tax = Your Total. Nothing else.

No platform fees. No service charges. No processing fees. No membership requirements to place an order. The total shown at checkout is exactly what will be charged to your payment method.

For International Customers

We work hard to make international shopping just as straightforward:

Customs Duties: We handle customs duties for the majority of international orders through our DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) shipping arrangements. In most cases, there are no additional fees upon delivery — what you pay at checkout is all you pay.

In rare situations, your country's regulations may require you to pay duties directly to customs upon delivery. This is uncommon and is determined by your government, not by Inspire Uplift. If you have questions about duties for your specific country, contact us before ordering and we can provide guidance.

Currency Conversion: All prices on Inspire Uplift are displayed in US Dollars (USD). If you're paying with a card issued in another currency:

  • Your bank converts the charge to your local currency at their exchange rate
  • The converted amount may look slightly different due to exchange rate fluctuations
  • Some banks charge a foreign transaction fee (typically 1-3%) — this is charged by your bank, not by us
  • Many modern credit cards now offer zero foreign transaction fees — check with your card issuer

Tip: If you want to avoid foreign transaction fees, consider using PayPal. PayPal shows you the converted amount before you confirm, so there are no surprises.

Pending or Temporary Holds

When you place an order, you might notice something on your bank statement that looks like an extra charge. Here's what's actually happening:

Authorization Holds: Your bank temporarily reserves the payment amount to verify your card is valid. This shows up as a "pending" charge. Once the actual payment processes (usually within 1-3 business days), the pending hold drops off and you're left with just one charge.

During this brief overlap, it can look like you were charged twice — but you weren't. You're seeing both the temporary hold and the actual charge at the same time. The hold disappears automatically.

If an Item Is Unavailable: If we can't fulfill part of your order, the authorization hold for that item releases automatically — usually within 3-5 business days depending on your bank. You're never charged for items we can't ship.

What About Perks Membership?

Inspire Uplift Perks is our optional membership program. It's the only recurring charge you could see from us, and it's completely optional:

  • Cost: $4.97/month (first month free)
  • What you get: Free shipping on all orders, 2% cashback, package protection, priority support
  • Completely voluntary — You never need Perks to shop with us
  • Cancel anytime — No cancellation fees, no penalties, no hassle
  • Billed separately — Perks membership appears as a separate charge from your orders

See a $4.97 charge you don't recognize? That's most likely a Perks membership. You can check your membership status in Account Settings, or contact us and we'll help you review and cancel if you didn't intend to sign up.

No Hidden Fees — Guaranteed

To be completely clear about what we never charge:

  • No platform fees — No surcharge for using our marketplace
  • No service fees — No extra charges for payment processing
  • No account fees — Creating and maintaining an account is completely free
  • No listing fees passed to buyers — Seller fees are between us and the seller, not passed to you
  • No mandatory memberships — Perks is optional, not required
  • No post-purchase charges — Once your order is complete, we don't add anything afterward
  • No restocking fees — Returns are processed without restocking charges

How Our Charges Appear on Your Statement

So you can recognize our charges and know they're legitimate:

  • IU MARKETPLACE

If you see a charge with one of these descriptions, it's from an Inspire Uplift order or Perks membership. If you're unsure what a specific charge is for, contact us with the amount and date and we'll identify it for you.

Compare That to Other Online Stores

Many online retailers add fees that inflate your total at checkout:

  • Some charge "marketplace fees" or "platform fees" on top of product prices
  • Some add "handling charges" that appear only at checkout
  • Some require paid memberships just to access normal pricing
  • Some show low prices but add high shipping costs at the last step

We don't do any of that. The price on the product page, plus standard shipping and tax, is your total. Period.
