Can I change app notification settings?

Yes! You have full control over which notifications the Inspire Uplift app sends to your phone. You can enable alerts for the things you care about — like shipping updates and sale announcements — and disable everything else. Here's how to customize your notification preferences.

How to Adjust Notifications

Notification settings are managed through your phone's system settings, not within the app itself. This gives you granular control over what types of alerts you receive and how they appear.

On iPhone/iPad:

  1. Open your phone's Settings app
  2. Scroll down and tap Notifications
  3. Find and tap Inspire Uplift
  4. Toggle Allow Notifications on or off for all notifications
  5. Below that, customize how notifications appear: Lock Screen, Notification Center, Banners, Sounds, and Badges

On Android:

  1. Open your phone's Settings app
  2. Tap Apps (or Apps & Notifications)
  3. Find and tap Inspire Uplift
  4. Tap Notifications
  5. You'll see individual notification categories that you can toggle on or off independently
  6. Some Android versions let you set notification importance levels (urgent, high, default, low, silent) for each category

Types of Notifications

The app may send notifications for several categories:

Order Updates — Confirmations when you place an order, status changes as your order is processed, and delivery confirmations. These are the most important notifications for active shoppers.

Shipping Alerts — Tracking updates when your package ships, is in transit, is out for delivery, and has been delivered. These keep you informed about where your package is without having to check tracking manually.

Promotional Offers — Flash sale announcements, discount codes, seasonal promotions, and member-only deals. These are optional but valuable if you want to catch the best deals.

Price Drops and Deals — Alerts when products you've viewed or wishlisted drop in price or go on sale. Helpful for bargain hunters waiting for the right moment to buy.

If you want all the deals: Enable all notification categories. You'll get real-time flash sale alerts, order updates, and promotional offers — nothing slips by.

If you only want order updates: Enable Order Updates and Shipping Alerts. Disable Promotional Offers and Price Drops. You'll be notified about your purchases without any marketing messages.

If you want minimal interruptions: Enable notifications but set them to silent delivery (no sound or vibration). Alerts collect quietly in your notification center for you to check when convenient.

If you want no notifications at all: Toggle off "Allow Notifications" entirely. You can still check order status manually by opening the app or logging in at www.inspireuplift.com.

Using Do Not Disturb and Focus Modes

If you don't want to turn off Inspire Uplift notifications permanently but need quiet time:

iPhone Focus Modes: Create a Focus mode (Settings > Focus) that silences Inspire Uplift notifications during work, sleep, or other times. Notifications are held and delivered when the Focus mode ends.

Android Do Not Disturb: Set up DND schedules that silence non-essential notifications during specific hours. You can configure exceptions for specific apps or contacts.

These features let you enjoy deal alerts during the day without being woken up by a flash sale notification at 2am.

Troubleshooting Notification Issues

Not receiving any notifications:

  • Check that notifications are enabled in Settings > Notifications > Inspire Uplift
  • Make sure Do Not Disturb or Focus mode isn't blocking them
  • Verify the app is updated to the latest version
  • Check that your phone's battery optimization isn't restricting the app (Android: Settings > Battery > Inspire Uplift > set to "Unrestricted")
  • Try logging out and back into the app

Getting too many notifications:

  • Disable specific categories you don't want (especially Promotional Offers if you only want order updates)
  • Set notification delivery to "Silent" so they collect without interrupting you

Notifications are delayed:

  • Check your internet connection — notifications require an active connection
  • Disable battery optimization for the app (Android)
  • Make sure background app refresh is enabled (iPhone: Settings > General > Background App Refresh > Inspire Uplift)

Email Notifications (Separate from App)

App push notifications and email notifications are controlled independently. Disabling app notifications doesn't stop emails, and vice versa. To manage email notifications, click "Unsubscribe" at the bottom of any marketing email, or adjust preferences in Account Settings > Email Preferences on the website. Order-related emails (confirmations, shipping updates) are always sent regardless of your marketing email preferences.

Q: If I turn off notifications, will I miss important order updates? A: You won't receive real-time alerts, but all order information is always available in the app under "My Orders" and via email. You'll still receive order confirmation and shipping emails regardless of your app notification settings.

Q: Can I set specific times for notifications? A: Not directly within the app, but your phone's Do Not Disturb and Focus/Bedtime modes let you schedule quiet periods. Notifications are held during quiet time and delivered when the period ends.

Q: I uninstalled and reinstalled the app. Do I need to set up notifications again? A: Yes. Your phone may ask for notification permissions again after reinstalling. Accept the prompt to re-enable notifications, then customize your preferences in your phone's Settings.

Q: Can I get notifications on my smartwatch? A: If your smartwatch mirrors phone notifications (Apple Watch, Samsung Galaxy Watch, etc.), Inspire Uplift notifications will appear there too. Manage this through your smartwatch's companion app notification settings.

Q: Are notification preferences synced across devices? A: No. Push notification settings are device-specific. If you have the app on two phones, you'll need to configure notification preferences on each device independently.
