Can sellers offer discounts directly?

Getting special deals from sellers.

Yes! Many sellers on Inspire Uplift offer their own discounts, promotions, and special pricing. Since our marketplace is made up of 55,000+ independent sellers, each one has the flexibility to set their own prices and run their own deals. Here's how to find and take advantage of seller-specific discounts.

Types of Seller Discounts

Seller Coupons and Promo Codes Some sellers create their own discount codes that can be applied at checkout. These may be displayed on the product page, included in the seller's shop description, or shared through seller communications. Enter the code in the promo code field at checkout to apply the discount.

Bundle Deals Many sellers offer discounts when you buy multiple items from their shop — "buy 2, get 10% off" or "buy 3, get 1 free" type offers. These deals are typically described on the product page or appear automatically at checkout when you add qualifying items to your cart.

Volume and Bulk Pricing If you need a larger quantity of a product, sellers may offer volume discounts. These aren't always listed publicly — sometimes you need to reach out and ask. For formal bulk orders, see our article: Do You Offer Wholesale Pricing?

Repeat Customer Pricing Some sellers reward loyal customers who purchase from them multiple times. If you've bought from a seller before and had a great experience, message them and ask if they offer returning customer discounts. Many sellers appreciate repeat business and are willing to offer a small percentage off.

Seasonal and Clearance Discounts Individual sellers run their own promotions throughout the year — end-of-season clearance, holiday specials, new product launch pricing, or inventory reduction sales. These appear as marked-down prices on their product listings.

How to Ask a Seller for a Discount

Sellers are real people running real businesses, and a polite message can go a long way:

  1. Click the seller's name on any product page to visit their shop
  2. Click "Message Seller" or "Contact Seller"
  3. Be polite and specific about what you're looking for

Good approaches:

  • "I'm interested in buying 5 of these for gifts. Do you offer a multi-item discount?"
  • "I've purchased from you before (Order #XXXXXXX) and love your products. Do you offer returning customer pricing?"
  • "I'm interested in this product but it's slightly above my budget. Do you have any active promotions?"

Keep in mind: Sellers aren't obligated to offer discounts, and not every seller will. Prices on our marketplace are already competitive. Don't be pushy or rude if a seller declines — they've set their prices based on their costs and margins.

Combining Discounts

Seller discounts can often be combined with other savings for maximum value:

Seller discount + Perks free shipping — Perks members get free shipping on every order, which stacks with any seller discount for even greater savings.

Seller discount + Perks cashback — Your 2% cashback is calculated on the amount you actually pay, so you still earn cashback on discounted purchases.

Seller discount + site-wide promotion — During major sale events, seller discounts may stack with site-wide promotions. Check the terms of each promotion to confirm.

Seller coupon + your coupon code — Some checkout systems accept only one promo code at a time. If you have both a seller code and a site-wide code, try each to see which gives you a better discount, and apply the better one.

Finding Sellers With Active Deals

Browse product listings and look for strike-through pricing, percentage-off badges, and "Sale" tags — these indicate the seller has reduced their price.

Visit seller shops. Click any seller's name to browse their full catalog. Sellers often run shop-wide promotions that apply to multiple or all products.

Subscribe to our newsletter for curated deals across the marketplace, including seller-specific promotions.

Check during major sale events. Sellers frequently run their deepest discounts during Black Friday, Cyber Monday, holiday season, and other peak shopping periods.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Can I negotiate prices with sellers? A: Prices on product listings are generally fixed. However, sellers may be willing to discuss pricing for bulk orders, repeat purchases, or custom orders. A polite message asking about available discounts is always appropriate — just respect the seller's response if they can't offer a lower price.

Q: How do I know if a seller discount is legitimate? A: Seller discounts on our platform are genuine price reductions set by the seller. Discounted items show the original price crossed out alongside the sale price. If a seller offers you a discount via message, they'll typically provide a coupon code or adjust the listing price for you.

Q: Can a seller give me a discount after I've already purchased? A: Once an order is placed at a specific price, retroactive discounts aren't standard. If a seller offered you a discount and you accidentally ordered at full price, contact us immediately — if the order hasn't shipped, we may be able to help adjust.

Q: Should I always ask sellers for discounts? A: It's fine to ask for bulk or repeat customer pricing — sellers expect these inquiries. For individual items at listed prices, asking for a discount on every purchase can feel transactional. Our marketplace is full of independent sellers and small businesses with fair pricing — their listed prices reflect their value.
