Is JavaScript required?

Technical requirements for the website.

Yes — our website needs JavaScript enabled to function properly. JavaScript powers the interactive elements that make shopping possible, including product image galleries, the shopping cart, checkout, search and filtering, account features, and more. The good news is that JavaScript is enabled by default in every major browser, so most people never need to think about it.

What JavaScript Does on Our Site

Without JavaScript, key parts of our website won't work:

Product pages — image carousels, zoom functionality, variant selection (size, color), and "Add to Cart" buttons all require JavaScript.

Shopping cart — adding items, updating quantities, removing items, and the cart display itself depend on JavaScript.

Checkout — the entire checkout flow including address entry, payment processing, coupon codes, and order submission requires JavaScript.

Search and filters — live search suggestions, sorting, price filters, and category navigation rely on JavaScript to update results without reloading the entire page.

Account features — login, order history, wishlist, account settings, and messaging all use JavaScript for their interactive elements.

If JavaScript is disabled, you may see a blank page, missing elements, buttons that don't respond, or a message asking you to enable JavaScript.

How to Check If JavaScript Is Enabled

In most cases, JavaScript is already enabled — it's the default setting in all modern browsers. If you suspect it's been disabled:

Google Chrome:

  1. Go to Settings > Privacy and Security > Site Settings
  2. Scroll to "JavaScript"
  3. Make sure it's set to "Sites can use JavaScript"

Apple Safari: Safari has JavaScript enabled by default with no easy way to disable it in current versions. If you're experiencing issues on Safari, the problem is likely something else (cache, extensions, or connectivity).

Mozilla Firefox:

  1. Type about:config in the address bar and press Enter
  2. Search for javascript.enabled
  3. Make sure the value is set to true

Microsoft Edge:

  1. Go to Settings > Cookies and site permissions
  2. Find "JavaScript"
  3. Make sure it's toggled on

Why JavaScript Might Be Disabled

Most people don't disable JavaScript intentionally. Common reasons it may be off include a browser extension disabled it — some privacy, security, or ad-blocking extensions (like NoScript) block JavaScript by default. Check your extensions and whitelist inspireuplift.com. A workplace or school network policy may block JavaScript on certain sites. Someone else changed the browser settings on a shared computer. Or parental control software may restrict JavaScript on certain sites.

If You Can't Enable JavaScript

If your device or browser can't run JavaScript (extremely rare with modern devices), you have alternatives:

Try a different browser. Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge all support JavaScript. If one browser has issues, another likely works fine.

Use our mobile app. The Inspire Uplift app doesn't depend on browser JavaScript settings. Download it from the App Store or Google Play for a full shopping experience.

Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Is JavaScript safe? A: Yes. JavaScript is a standard technology used by virtually every modern website. It runs in your browser's sandbox, meaning it can't access files on your computer or install software. Keeping your browser updated ensures you have the latest JavaScript security protections.

Q: Will enabling JavaScript slow down my browser? A: No. JavaScript is essential for modern web browsing and is optimized in all current browsers. Disabling it actually makes most websites unusable rather than faster.

Q: I have JavaScript enabled but the site still isn't working. What else could it be? A: If JavaScript is on and the site still has issues, try clearing your browser cache, disabling browser extensions (especially ad blockers), updating your browser, or trying a different browser.
