How long does order processing take?
Learn about our order processing timeframes.
Standard order processing takes 1-3 business days before your order ships. Processing is the time between placing your order and the seller handing the package to the shipping carrier. Once processing is complete, you'll receive a shipping confirmation email with your tracking number.
What Happens During Processing
When you place an order, the seller works through payment verification, locating and preparing your item, quality checking, packaging for safe shipping, creating the shipping label, and handing the package to the carrier (USPS, FedEx, UPS, DHL, etc.).
Most sellers complete these steps within 1-2 business days. The full 3-business-day window accounts for sellers with higher order volumes or more complex fulfillment operations.
Processing Times by Product Type
Standard in-stock items: 1-3 business days. The majority of products on our marketplace. These are ready-to-ship items that the seller has in inventory.
Custom and personalized items: 5-14+ business days. Products made to your specifications — custom text, engraving, personalized designs, specific color requests — need production time before they can ship. The product page states the expected processing time for custom items.
Handmade items: 3-14+ business days. Artisan and handcrafted products may need additional time for creation. Each piece is made individually, which takes longer than pulling a mass-produced item from a shelf.
Made-to-order items: 5-14+ business days. Some products are manufactured only after an order is placed rather than kept in stock. This is common for niche or specialty items.
During peak seasons (Black Friday, holiday shopping, major sales), processing may take an extra day or two across all product types as sellers handle higher order volumes.
Processing vs. Shipping
These are two separate stages that make up your total delivery time:
Processing = seller prepares your order (before it ships). No tracking number yet. Shipping = carrier transports your package (after it ships). Tracking number active.
When product pages show delivery estimates like "7-14 business days," that includes both processing and shipping combined. So if processing takes 2 days and shipping transit takes 8 days, your total delivery is 10 business days.
Important: Processing time is measured in business days (Monday-Friday, excluding holidays). An order placed Friday evening likely won't begin processing until Monday.
How to Check Your Processing Status
Check "My Orders." Log into your account and look at your order status. "Processing" means the seller is working on it. "Shipped" means it's been handed to the carrier and you'll have a tracking number.
Check your email. You'll receive a shipping confirmation email from contact@inspireuplift.com the moment your order ships. No email yet? The seller is still processing.
When to Contact Us
Processing within the stated timeframe is normal — no action needed. Reach out if a standard item has been "Processing" for more than 5 business days, a custom item has exceeded its stated processing time by several days, you need to cancel or modify the order (best chance while still processing), or you haven't received any updates and the delivery window has passed.
Contact us with your order number and we'll check with the seller on the status.
How to Get Faster Processing
Order standard in-stock items. These have the fastest processing — most ship within 1-2 business days.
Avoid peak ordering times. Orders placed during major sales events take slightly longer. Ordering before or after the rush means faster processing.
Look for shorter delivery estimates. Product pages with shorter estimated delivery windows typically indicate faster processing and shipping combined.

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Can I speed up processing by paying for expedited shipping? A: Expedited shipping speeds up the transit time after the seller ships — not the processing time. Processing is the same regardless of shipping speed. A custom item with 7-day processing still takes 7 days before it ships, even with overnight transit selected.
Q: The seller hasn't shipped my order after 3 business days. Is something wrong? A: For standard items, 3 business days is the upper end of normal. If it's been longer, contact us and we'll check with the seller. For custom or handmade items, longer processing is expected — check the product page for the stated processing time.
Q: Does processing happen on weekends? A: Most sellers process Monday-Friday. Some sellers do work weekends, but it's not guaranteed. Orders placed on Saturday may not begin processing until Monday.
Q: Can I cancel while my order is processing? A: Possibly — contact us immediately. While the order is still processing and hasn't shipped, cancellation has the highest chance of success. Once it ships, cancellation isn't possible. See our article: How to Cancel Your Order.
