How Seller Response Notifications Work
When you send a message to a seller through our platform and they reply, you're notified automatically through several channels:
Email Notification An email is sent to the address associated with your Inspire Uplift account. The email lets you know the seller has responded, includes a preview or summary of their reply, and contains a link to view the full message on our platform. Check your inbox for emails from contact@inspireuplift.com after messaging a seller.
Account Dashboard When you log into your account, you'll see notification indicators showing unread messages. Look for a message icon, notification badge, or alert in your account menu. Click through to view the seller's full response and continue the conversation.
Mobile App Push Notifications If you have the Inspire Uplift app installed with notifications enabled, you'll receive a push notification on your phone when a seller responds. This is the fastest way to know about a reply — the alert appears on your lock screen or notification shade in real time, even if you're not actively using the app.
How to Make Sure You Receive Notifications
If you're not receiving seller response notifications, check these settings:
Check Your Email Spam/Junk Folder Notification emails sometimes get filtered, especially with email providers like Outlook, Hotmail, Comcast, and corporate email accounts. Search your spam folder for "Inspire Uplift" and mark any emails you find as "Not Spam." To prevent future filtering, add contact@inspireuplift.com to your contacts or safe senders list.
How to add us to safe senders:
Gmail: Open any email from Inspire Uplift, click the three-dot menu, and select "Add to Contacts."
Outlook/Hotmail: Open our email, click the three-dot menu, and select "Add to Safe Senders." Or go to Settings > Junk Email > Safe Senders and add inspireuplift.com.
Yahoo: Open our email, click the three-dot menu, and select "Add Sender to Contacts."
Other providers: Add contact@inspireuplift.com to your address book or contacts.
Verify Your Email Address Is Correct Make sure the email address on your account is current and one you check regularly. Go to Account Settings to verify. If you recently changed email addresses, update your account so notifications reach you.
Enable App Push Notifications If you have the Inspire Uplift app:
iPhone/iPad: Go to Settings > Notifications > Inspire Uplift. Make sure "Allow Notifications" is turned on. Enable Banners, Sounds, and Badges for the most visible alerts.
Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Inspire Uplift > Notifications. Make sure notifications are enabled. Check that the notification channel for messages isn't muted or set to silent.
If you previously denied notification permissions when the app asked, you'll need to re-enable them through your phone's system settings — the app can't ask again once denied.
Check Account Notification Preferences Within your Inspire Uplift account, go to Account Settings and look for Notification Preferences or Email Preferences. Make sure seller message notifications are enabled. You may find separate toggles for order updates, shipping alerts, promotional offers, and seller messages — ensure the seller message toggle is on.
Response Time Expectations
After sending a message to a seller, expect a response within 1-3 business days. Many sellers reply faster — often within 24 hours. Response times can vary based on the seller's time zone and business hours, current order volume (holidays and sale events may slow responses), and the complexity of your question.
If you haven't received a notification about a seller response within 3 business days, check your spam folder first (the notification may have been filtered), log into your account and check your messages directly (sometimes notifications fail but the message is there), and send a polite follow-up message to the seller.
If the seller still hasn't responded after your follow-up, contact our support team. We'll reach out to the seller on your behalf and help resolve your question.
Checking Messages Without Waiting for Notifications
You don't have to wait for a notification — you can check for seller responses manually anytime:
On the Website:
- Log into your account at www.inspireuplift.com
- Look for a message or inbox icon in your account menu
- Click to view all your conversations
- Open the conversation with the seller you're waiting to hear from
On the App:
- Open the Inspire Uplift app
- Go to your account section
- Look for Messages or Inbox
- Check for new responses
Through Your Order:
- Go to "My Orders"
- Click on the relevant order
- Look for the seller messaging option
- Previous messages and any new responses will be displayed in the conversation thread
Keeping Your Conversations Organized
If you're messaging multiple sellers, keeping track of conversations is easy:
All messages are in one place. Your account inbox stores all seller conversations, organized by seller and/or order. You can see the full history of each conversation including your original message and all replies.
Messages are linked to orders. When you message a seller through an order, the conversation is associated with that specific order. This makes it easy to find the relevant conversation later — just go to the order and the messages are right there.
Messages are preserved. Your conversation history doesn't expire. You can refer back to seller messages weeks or months later if you need to recall details about a product, check what was discussed, or reference an agreement.

Q: Will I get a notification for every message in a conversation, or just the first one? A: You should receive a notification each time the seller sends a new reply in the conversation. This applies to the initial response and any follow-up messages within the ongoing thread.
Q: Can I get text message (SMS) notifications when a seller responds? A: Currently, seller response notifications are delivered via email, account dashboard alerts, and app push notifications. SMS notifications for seller messages aren't available at this time. The app push notification is the closest to a text alert — it appears on your phone in real time.
Q: I got a notification but can't find the message. Where is it? A: Log into your account and check your inbox or messages section. If you still can't find it, try checking through the specific order — go to "My Orders," click the relevant order, and look for the messaging option there. If the message still doesn't appear, contact us with the notification details and we'll help locate it.
Q: Can I reply to the seller directly from the notification email? A: Don't reply to the notification email itself — email replies may not reach the seller. Instead, click the link in the notification email to go to the conversation on our platform, then type and send your reply there. Keeping all communication on-platform ensures a complete record and protects both you and the seller.
Q: I turned on app notifications but I'm still not getting them. What's wrong? A: Check that your phone's Do Not Disturb mode isn't active, the app has notification permissions in your phone's system settings (not just in-app settings), your phone has sufficient battery (some phones disable notifications in low-power mode), and the app is updated to the latest version. Try uninstalling and reinstalling the app if notifications still don't work.
Q: Can I mute notifications from a specific seller? A: There isn't a per-seller mute option currently. If a particular conversation is resolved, the seller typically won't send additional messages. If you're receiving unwanted messages from a seller, contact us and we'll address it.
