Can I change my review after posting?
Editing submitted product reviews.
Yes! You can edit your review at any time after posting it. Whether you want to update your star rating, add new details based on longer-term use, include photos you forgot to attach, or revise your feedback after a seller resolved an issue, editing your review is simple. Here's how to do it and when it makes sense.
How to Edit Your Review
Step 1: Log into your account at www.inspireuplift.com using the same account you used when you wrote the review.
Step 2: Go to "My Reviews" in your account dashboard. You'll find this in your account menu or profile section.
Step 3: Find the review you want to edit. Your reviews are listed with the product name, your star rating, and the date posted.
Step 4: Click "Edit" next to the review you want to change.
Step 5: Make your updates — change the star rating, rewrite or add to the text, upload new photos, or modify any part of the review.
Step 6: Click "Save" or "Update" to publish your changes.
Your updated review replaces the original and is visible to other shoppers immediately. The review will reflect the updated date so other customers know it's current.
What You Can Edit
When you edit a review, you can change any or all of the following:
Star Rating Adjust your rating up or down based on your evolving experience. Maybe you initially gave 4 stars but after a month of use you'd give it 5 — or maybe a product that seemed great at first didn't hold up and you want to lower your rating.
Written Feedback Rewrite, add to, or revise your text. You can add long-term use observations, correct something you got wrong in the original review, add details you forgot to mention, note how the seller handled an issue, or provide more specific information to help future buyers.
Photos Add photos you didn't include originally, replace existing photos with better ones, or add photos showing the product after extended use. Photos of how a product holds up over time are incredibly valuable to other shoppers.
Overall Recommendation If your opinion about whether you'd recommend the product has changed, update your review to reflect your current assessment.
When to Update Your Review
Editing your review is helpful in several common scenarios:
After Extended Use Your initial impression may not tell the full story. A kitchen gadget that seemed great on day one might prove unreliable after a month, or a piece of clothing that felt stiff initially might soften and become your favorite after a few washes. Updating your review with long-term feedback is one of the most valuable things you can do for other shoppers.
After a Seller Resolves an Issue If you left a negative review because of a problem and the seller subsequently fixed it — sent a replacement, issued a refund, or resolved your concern — updating your review to reflect the resolution is fair to both the seller and future buyers. You might change "Product arrived damaged, very disappointed" to "Product arrived damaged, but the seller immediately sent a replacement and it's great. Excellent customer service."
When You Discover Something New Maybe you found an additional use for the product, figured out a trick that makes it work better, or discovered a feature you initially missed. Adding this information helps others get more value from the same product.
To Add Photos If you didn't take photos when the product first arrived but later wish you had included them, take photos now and add them to your review. Photos of the product in use, in your home, or showing specific details are always welcome.
To Correct an Error If you realized you made a factual mistake in your review — got the dimensions wrong, described the wrong feature, or confused it with another product — edit the review to correct the inaccuracy. Accurate reviews benefit everyone.
After Comparing With Similar Products If you've since purchased a similar product from another seller and now have a basis for comparison, updating your review with comparative insight helps other shoppers decide between options.
Tips for Writing Helpful Updated Reviews
Mention that you're updating. Start your revised review with something like "Updated after 3 months of use:" or "Edited to reflect seller resolution:" so readers understand the context. This makes your review more credible and informative.
Be specific about what changed. Instead of just changing your rating, explain why. "Originally gave 3 stars because of slow shipping, but updating to 5 stars — the product itself is excellent quality and has held up perfectly over 6 months" gives readers much more useful information than just a number change.
Keep both perspectives if relevant. If your initial experience was negative but the outcome was positive, sharing both parts of the story is most helpful. "The product arrived with a scratch, but the seller immediately shipped a perfect replacement. The product itself is exactly as described and I love it."
Include timeframes. Mentioning how long you've used the product gives your update context. "After daily use for 4 months, this is still going strong" is more compelling than "still works great."
Review Guidelines
When editing your review, the same guidelines apply as when you first posted it:
Be honest. Share your genuine experience — both positive and negative. Honest reviews, even critical ones, help other shoppers and help sellers improve their products.
Be specific. Details about quality, sizing, functionality, shipping experience, and how the product compares to the listing description are more helpful than vague comments.
Include photos when possible. Real photos from real customers are among the most valuable parts of any review.
Stay respectful. Even negative reviews should be constructive and factual. Describe what happened rather than using offensive language or personal attacks.
Focus on the product. Reviews should address the product itself, your experience with it, and the seller's service. Off-topic content, spam, or promotional material will be removed.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is there a time limit on when I can edit a review? A: No. You can edit your review at any time — days, weeks, or months after originally posting it. There's no editing window or expiration.
Q: Can I delete my review entirely instead of editing it? A: In most cases, yes. Go to "My Reviews," find the review, and look for a "Delete" option. If you don't see a delete option, contact us and we'll assist. Keep in mind that honest reviews — even negative ones — help other shoppers, so we encourage editing over deleting when possible.
Q: Will the seller know I edited my review? A: The updated review is visible on the product page, so the seller can see the current version. They won't receive a specific notification that the review was edited, but they'll see the updated content when checking their product reviews.
Q: Can I edit a review after the seller responds to it? A: Yes. You can edit your review regardless of whether the seller has responded. If you're editing because the seller resolved your issue, your updated review alongside their original response creates a complete picture for future shoppers.
Q: I left a review on the wrong product. Can I move it? A: Reviews can't be moved between products. Delete the incorrect review and post a new one on the correct product page. If you need help, contact us with the details and we'll assist.
Q: How many times can I edit my review? A: There's no limit on the number of edits. You can update your review as many times as you like. Each edit replaces the previous version.
Q: Can the seller ask me to change my review? A: Sellers may reach out to resolve an issue you mentioned in a review, which is encouraged — good customer service benefits everyone. However, sellers should never pressure, threaten, or bribe you to change a review. If a seller offers you something (discount, free item) solely in exchange for changing your review, that's not appropriate. Report any such behavior to us at contact@inspireuplift.com.
Q: A seller resolved my issue. Should I change my negative review? A: That's entirely your choice. Many customers choose to update their review to reflect the resolution because it's fair to the seller and helpful to other shoppers. But you're never obligated to change a review. If you do update it, we recommend keeping the original context ("product arrived damaged") alongside the resolution ("seller sent a replacement immediately") for the most complete picture.
