Why is the app crashing?
Fixing mobile app stability issues.
App crashes are frustrating, but they're almost always fixable with a few quick steps. Most crashes are caused by outdated app versions, low device storage, or temporary software glitches — not a problem with your account or orders. Here's how to fix it and get back to shopping.
Quick Fixes (Try These First)
1. Restart the App Force-close the app completely and reopen it. This clears temporary memory issues that cause most crashes.
iPhone: Swipe up from the bottom (or double-click the Home button) to see open apps. Swipe the Inspire Uplift app up and off the screen. Wait a few seconds, then reopen it.
Android: Tap the Recent Apps button (square icon), find Inspire Uplift, and swipe it away. Wait a few seconds, then reopen.
2. Restart Your Phone A full device restart clears deeper system-level issues that a simple app restart doesn't. Power off your phone, wait 10-15 seconds, then turn it back on and try the app again. This fixes the problem more often than you'd expect.
3. Update the App Outdated app versions are one of the most common causes of crashes. Open the App Store (iPhone) or Google Play Store (Android), search for "Inspire Uplift," and check if an update is available. If so, update and try again. Turning on automatic updates in your app store settings prevents this issue in the future.
4. Clear the App Cache Cached data can become corrupted over time and cause crashes.
Android: Go to Settings > Apps > Inspire Uplift > Storage > Clear Cache. This removes temporary data without affecting your account or saved information.
iPhone: iOS doesn't have a direct cache-clearing option. The best equivalent is to delete and reinstall the app (your account data is preserved — just log back in).
5. Free Up Device Storage Apps need available storage to function properly. If your phone is nearly full, the app may crash when it tries to load images or store temporary data.
Check your available storage in Settings > General > iPhone Storage (iOS) or Settings > Storage (Android). If you're running low, delete unused apps, old photos/videos, or clear other app caches to free up space. Aim for at least 500MB-1GB of free space.
6. Delete and Reinstall the App If nothing else works, uninstall the Inspire Uplift app and download it fresh from the App Store or Google Play. This gives you a clean installation with the latest version and no corrupted data. Your account, orders, wishlist, and all account data are stored on our servers — not on your phone — so nothing is lost. Just log back in after reinstalling.
If the App Still Crashes
If you've tried all the steps above and the app is still crashing:
Check your operating system version. Our app requires iOS 14+ for iPhone/iPad and Android 8.0+ for Android devices. If your device is running an older operating system, the app may not function properly. Update your OS through your phone's Settings if an update is available.
Check if the issue is device-specific. If you have access to another phone or tablet, try logging into the app on that device. If it works on another device, the issue is specific to your original phone — possibly a hardware limitation, OS incompatibility, or device-specific software conflict.
Check your internet connection. While poor connectivity usually causes loading errors rather than crashes, an extremely unstable connection can sometimes cause the app to crash during data loading. Try switching between WiFi and mobile data to see if that helps.
Disable battery optimization for the app. Some Android phones aggressively manage battery by restricting background app activity, which can cause crashes. Go to Settings > Battery > Inspire Uplift and select "Don't optimize" or "Unrestricted."
Use the Website as a Backup
While troubleshooting app issues, you can always shop through our mobile website. Open any browser on your phone and go to www.inspireuplift.com. The mobile website offers the same products, pricing, and features. Your account, cart, and wishlist are the same across the app and website. You can complete purchases, track orders, and access support — everything the app does, just through your browser.
When to Contact Us
Contact our support team if the app keeps crashing after trying all the fixes above, the crash happens every time you try a specific action (like opening a certain product or checking out), you see an error message before the crash (take a screenshot if you can), or the app worked fine before and suddenly started crashing with no changes on your end.
When you reach out, include your device model (iPhone 14, Samsung Galaxy S24, etc.), your operating system version (iOS 17.4, Android 14, etc.), what you were doing when the crash happened, whether it happens every time or randomly, and any error messages you saw.
This information helps us investigate and resolve the issue faster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Will I lose my orders or account data if I delete and reinstall the app? A: No. All your account data — orders, wishlist, addresses, payment methods, Perks membership — is stored on our servers. Deleting and reinstalling the app only removes the local installation. Log back in after reinstalling and everything will be there.
Q: The app crashes only when I try to check out. What should I do? A: Try clearing the app cache, then attempt checkout again. If it still crashes, try removing all items from your cart, adding them back one by one, and checking out. If a specific item causes the crash, it may have a listing issue — contact us with the product link. As a workaround, complete your purchase through the mobile website (www.inspireuplift.com) in your phone's browser.
Q: Is the crash caused by a problem on your end? A: Occasionally, yes. If our servers are experiencing issues, the app may crash or fail to load. These situations are rare and usually resolved quickly. If the mobile website (www.inspireuplift.com) is also not loading properly, the issue may be on our end. Try again in 30 minutes, or contact us for a status update.
Q: My phone is old. Could that be the problem? A: Possibly. If your phone can't run iOS 14+ or Android 8.0+, the app may not be compatible. Even phones that meet the minimum requirements may struggle if they have limited RAM or processing power. If the app consistently crashes on an older device, the mobile website is a reliable alternative.
Q: The app was working fine until the latest update. What happened? A: Occasionally, new app versions introduce bugs. If a crash started immediately after an update, check if another update is available that fixes the issue (bug-fix updates often follow quickly). If not, contact us and describe the problem — your report helps us identify and fix bugs for all users. In the meantime, use the mobile website.
